Mt. Sandfell
Both beautiful and rare
This 743-m-high rhyolite mountain above the fjord's south shore is a textbook example of a laccolith.
Some 600 m thick, Sandfell stands out as one of the clearest laccoliths from the Tertiary Period in the Northern Hemisphere.
The trail up is not staked, but the interesting walk takes only 2 to 3 hours.
