Fjarðabyggð's adventurous fjords are a true paradise for the kayaker with boundless possibilities. The Neskaupstaður's Kayak Club, Kaj, has a great kayak facilities and rents out kayaks for those interested. Club members are happy to assist and instruct paddler's.

The East Iceland's Sailing Club is located in Eskifjörður and is working on fixing up their facilities and are looking into renting out kayaks and sail boats. For now you can become a club member for a mere 5.000 ISK a year and get access to the club's boats, provided that they are not in use.

Safe to say, Fjarðabyggð recommends kayaking enthusiasts to give the kayaking in the East of Iceland a try.
