Go sailing
During summer the Mjóeyri Travel Service rents out boats at Randulff's Seahouse, Eskifjörður, so that you can go out onto the fjord yourself. The boats are equipped with oars and a small outboard motor and hold 6 persons. You can also rent fishing rods at the same place and when the chef at Randulff's Seahouse is in an especially good mood you can even ask him or her to prepare what you caught. In Reyðarfjörður Austursigling (East Sailing) offers boat rides and sea angling as well as scheduled trips over the summer at 16:00 and 20:00. On good days there are plenty of cods to catch and you can even see a glimpse of the occasional whale wandering about the fjord. For more information call +354 892 9136.
