Although Brekkan keeps a low profile it offers quite the selection of fine grilled food and great home cooked dinners. Here you will find the tourist information centre as well as a mini market with all the main necessities. 

At the top floor of the diner is a fun gift shop worthy of having a look. 

Some say that at Brekkan you will find the best "ástarpungar" in the East of Iceland, a tasty Icelandic pastry.
