Arts and handicrafts are taken seriously in Fjarðabyggð as a creative trade.

Valhöll, the spacious community center in Eskifjörður, is also the home to the Fjarðabyggð Arts and Handicraft market. Here you can find a wide selection of fine giftware and souvernirs locally made of various raw materials. On a sunny day, local crafts people can be seen woriking outside of the center.
