Oddskarð Ski Resort

Fjarðabyggð's ski resort, located and named after the Oddsskarð mountain pass, is all about snow and fun. Besides serving as training ground for winter sports in Fjarðabyggð, the ski area attracks skiers and snowboarders of all ages on weekends in the winter. 

The resort usually opens in December and is in full operation untill April or early May, depending on the snow.

One lift begins at 513 m in altitude and ends by bringing the skier to a height of 840 m, with a fabulous view over Reyðarfjörður. As one of the country's most scenic skiing sites, Oddsskarð is often referred to as the East Iceland Alps.

There is also a children's lift and a ski lodge with a small diner.
