Opening hours of the swimming pools
in Fjarðabyggð
A good trip to the swimming pool is an essential part of Fjarðabyggð's daily life.
In the municipality there are fantastic outdoor swimming pools in both Neskaupstaður and Stöðvarfjörður, with hot tubs, saunas, water slides and excellent facilities. The Eskifjörður Swimming Pool opened in 2006 which is the same year the renovations in the Neskaupstaður Swimming Pool were completed. In Fáskrúðsfjörður you will find a cozy indoor swimming pool with an outdoor hot tub and in Stöðvarfjörður a friendly outdoor swimming pool in beautiful surroundings.
Please observe the following temporary closure of the swimming pools:
Fáskrúðsfjörður Swimming Pool is closed for all of August and from December 11th to January 4th each year.
Stöðvarfjörður Swimming Pool is open from May 15th to September 15th and closed over winter.
