Café Saxa is in close proximity to the Stöðvarfjörður pier. This well located café and restaurant offers both mountain and ocean view. The menu boasts of delicious cakes and small courses as well as traditional Icelandic cuisine.

Café Saxa is on the ground floor of the Guesthouse Saxa. The place is named after the sea geyser Saxa, which is in short distance outside of the village of Stöðvarfjörður. The building used to house the local co-op and has been tastefully adapted to its new role.

Within 50 meters from the café is the art gallery Gallery Snærós and the handicraft market Salthússmarkaðurinn, which is open over the summertime and also plays the role of Fjarðabyggð's visitors centre.
