Tæregesen is a family run guesthouse and restaurant in a close proximity to the Reyðarfjörður harbour. Here you can enjoy good food in one of the oldest buildings in Reyðarfjörður.

Tærgesen offers a great selection of food and drink, everything from brunch to lunch and grilled courses to pizzas. On the dinner menu guests can select from fish and meat dishes to a diverse grill menu. Children's menu is also available.

In the next house to Tærgesen is Café Kósý, a bar run by the same family. Café Kósý is also known as Blue Fox, since it was used as a set for the fictional Blue Fox bar in Sky's popular television series, Fortitude, which was shot in some part here in Reyðarfjörður.
