Fosshotel Austfirðir is a three star hotel in Fáskrúðsfjörður. The building has an interesting and historical background as it used to house the French hospital for many years. It has been remodeled as a hotel and museum that depicts the time when thousands of French ships were fishing off the coast of Iceland, putting a mark on the history of Fáskrúðsfjörður. Whilst remodeling the houses there was an emphasis put on recycling and reusing as much of the original houses. At the hotel, guests will also find the stunning restaurant, l'Abri.
